Greetings Friends!Enjoy the Scorpio Astrology Newsletter for 2009.The Sun goes into Scorpio on October 23rd so get out of the way of these determined and fearless ladies and gentlemen of the Night as I am wont to refer to these power houses. They do like to operate in dim lighting and either curse or praise you sotto voce. Mercury has been direct in motion for a few weeks—thank God from whom all blessings flow! Jupiter also picked up pace on October 13 so you’ll see greater Horns of Plenty this upcoming Thanksgiving. This is especially good news for writers, public speakers, travel agents, inveterate travelers, teachers—all communicators. Neptune, known as the Great Deceiver, will go direct at 23 degrees of Aquarius allowing tomfoolery to give way to inspiration. There will be a Full Moon at 10 degrees of Taurus on November 2—good news for all water and earth signs because full moons mean the wait is over. You’ll either get that part on Broadway or keep waiting for Godot. There is a New Moon at 23 degrees of Scorpio on November 16th, which again is the mother lode of blessedness for Scorpios particularly and water and earth signs generally. We are in the cycle of miracles so expect one unless you are still playing with your financial security as if it were funny money. Someone I know really well keeps hoping for the President of the United States to fail and the Great Depression descent upon us. It ain’t gonna happen unless that is the karma he is creating. This country is in turnaround and it is going to take all of us to realize that we created the circumstances of 2008. The solution is to adopt the attitude that it is all about all of us not just all about you. The Scorpio cycle is all about death and regeneration, so let’s hear it for changing the thing we can…ourselves.

ARIES (March 20 – April 19) This is not the time for your grand entrance or when we are all applauding as if you were the center of our Universe as well as your own. Put your transmission in idle and read a few good books because you will do much better in a month. I’m afraid that the Harvest Full Moon may have clipped your eagle wings—nobody likes to be told land more than you do. Keep reading this column long enough and you will get in rhythm with the stars and the moon.
LEO (July 22 – August 22) Don’t lose your mind, as the song says, between here and New York City with Mars holding court in Leo for many months. It will go retrograde in November which means that you will feel antsy, sexy, mindless and mirthful—all at once—which ain’t such a hot thing. The best news with Mars is that your energy level will be sky high without having to take a magic potion. Watch your blood pressure and date only one hot shot at a time.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20) If you decide to nurture what is most important to you, you may be able to stay put. You Jupiter-ruled Sags have a tendency to run helter skelter with no roadmap in your hand. Your chance to rise and shine was under the Harvest Full Moon on October 3rd at 11 degrees of Aries. Give up your ramblin’ rose ways and settle down. If you are looking for that one true love he or she will find you right where you live.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20) You must be feeling like you won the lottery or someone who loved you dearly just died and made you a fat cat. The galaxy is loaded with treasure troves this cycle for you Bulls—and it couldn’t happen to a nicer sign. Just remember not to be too sensitive or too demanding. Although it’s as if you are the favored son or daughter, all of this can turn on you in the twinkling of Capella or Sirius. What is the secret to lasting wealth? Receive to share?
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22) You can mark D-Day—freedom from the bondage of self and the Lord of Karma, Saturn—on October 30th so have a block party to celebrate. But also, try to remember the lessons you learned so you don’t have to repeat them. The rule of thumb is that the sign that Saturn is leaving will feel euphoric relief for quite awhile. Give yourself permission to have a few massages and definitely take a fun vacation.
CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19) We hope that you weren’t too slow to get back into the Stock Market because it is 3,000+ points higher than it was almost a year ago. But if you have been building that proverbial better mousetrap that’s where your resources have been going. It is always important to remember this old adage: don’t be the first in or the last out of anything. But nobody can weather and pick the steadier horse like you Goats!

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) I know your mind moves so fast you can’t retain much of what you read but chisel this into your day timer: Jupiter and Neptune are great aspects to you Twins by being in direct motion. When Saturn storms into Libra at the end of October you will have another great trine to your Sun. Now that Saturn is no longer squaring you, kick up your heels and shout, “It’s gonna be a great day! You are on such a roll you will spot a few friends and enemies pea green with envy.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22) Get ready for the law review that Saturn will bring to your sign October 30th. Some of the learning curves will come out of the clear blue or will meet you head on—you know, like that erstwhile former friend could show up when you least expect them. There is a good indicator of what’s up ahead for you since Libra rules relationships and partnerships. Never forget the Draconian Law of Getting Even: when it is time to say good-bye, do not linger over ta-ta on the Riviera or the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Simply say, “Go. Now!”
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17) Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Jupiter went direct in motion mid-October and Neptune will be direct on November 5th. Both of these retrogrades have worked against you, but now you are poised to strike out wherever your still small voice can take you. When Jupiter is retrograde, the benefits to you Aquarians were diminished; but when Neptune, the Great Deceiver goes direct, you can spot a flake and fraud a mile away.

CANCER (June 21 – July 21) Mars has been giving you moody Cancerians fit for a long time but it slithered into Leo the middle of October. Nobody needs to tell you that your disposition changes every two and a half days when the Moon goes into a different sign. You might as well throw away that mood ring and look to the Stars for guidance. The two lunations this cycle will bless you so take advantage of the up-tick in fortune. A lot of you will find a bonus in your pay check or discover something is worth more than you thought.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21) The deck is stacked this month for you secretive and compulsive types because both lunations are bringing your hopes, wishes and dreams to the forefront of your life. If you remember to seek what your heart desires the stars will conspire to give it to you; conjure from your head and you’ll leave empty-handed. Give yourself permission to turn your will and your life over to the care of a Higher Power who knows better than all of us.
PISCES (February 18 – March 19) Saturn is leaving Virgo, your opposite sign, on October 30th, which means that you will not have that grim reaper to deal with for a long, long time. Uranus continues to make you look at things that you’d rather not face but must. Take advantage of the lunations this Scorpio cycle and make a few saw bucks to tide you over. Keep dealing with the here and now and the “then” will take care of itself.
