Greetings Friends!Enjoy the Leo Newsletter for 2011!Signs of the Times--Don't be caught off guard by the shenanigans of the United States Congress. The Democrats don't want to carve up Social Security benefits (and why should they? We pay into the fund and we want our do-re-mi!) and the fat cat Republicans don't want to tax the rich (What's wrong with that picture? You don't have to be MENSA to figure that one out). Here's where I'm going with the signs for this month: it is time that everyone helps balance the budget--ALL OF US. We are in the middle of a Cardinal Cross: Pluto in Capricorn oppose Mars in Cancer, both squared by Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Libra. What this means is that we are at a critical crossroads in our country's history. We must all pull together to make corrections or we shall all fall down. There is a New Moon at 07 degrees of Leo on July 30th, which indicates that all the lions will have a lot to roar and preen about. There will be ancillary benefits to Aries and Sagittarius, as well as Air Signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Caution flags are out for Fixed Signs, Taurus and Scorpio. New Moons are about new beginnings. There will be a Full Moon at 20 degrees of Aquarius on August 13th which will signal the end of what's not working with a job, at home or with financial opportunities for the Water Bearers. This will also have a big impact on Taurus and Scorpio. The devil-in-the-details planet Mercury will go retrograde on August 2 at 01 degree of Virgo for three weeks. Remember not to sign contracts, buy or sell houses or land and expect for mechanical things like computers and cars potentially to give you fits. And if you travel in this period you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be delays or cancellations. Mercury will go direct on August 26th. Take a deep breath and exhale slowly. We only have to put up with Mercury retrograde nine weeks out of the year. Keep in the frontal lobe of your brain that we are all experiencing the 'dog days of summer' which means that the temperatures are at their zenith and that there is a general lack of energy. Pray, meditate and journal in the cool comfort of your manse or under the shade of your spreading chestnut tree.

FIRE SIGNS
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)--Rise and shine and press your suit and shine your shoes. The New Moon in Leo on July 30 will give an open door to carefully-honed plans not scatter-shot pie-in-the-sky schemes. Turn over a new leaf. Get smart. Let honesty knock on doors for you. Surround yourself with people who can implement what you suggest. Your weakness is carry-through so cover all bases once you know where you want to go and what you want to accomplish. When you encounter an obstacle remove it with true grit and a bolder but more genuine set of blueprints.
LEO (July 22 – August 22)--The New Moon at 7 degrees of Leo is going to spark a lot of get up and go and renewed interest in rehabbing and redecorating the fading paint on the walls or the worn sofa at su casa. Instead of fixing up the homestead you and your loved ones might want to take a great vacation to the Rockies or the Jersey Shore. Although you are known to plop down your dough on a long shot, stay away from Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Gambling is for goofballs.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20)--As you reach for the stars remember to keep your tootsies planted on terra firma. It is alright to mimic a free-range chicken and slide into wanderlust time and again, but you want to make sure that you have bus fare back to the ponderosa. The New Moon in Leo on July 30 will certainly aid and abet your 'nothing can stop me now' momentum but always be aware that you have bills to pay and mouths to feed. Instead of trying to outclass the world class athletes, watch the game from the stands. Be here now.
EARTH SIGNS
TAURUS (April 21 – May 20)--Enjoy basking in the sun and the good health and prosperity of Jupiter in your Sign. You may fill your coffers and you may get a raise and you could win the lottery and pick the right horse at the track, but there is a danger that you could be eating everything that won't eat you. Jupiter can make your tendency to overeat a whopper of a problem for you right now. Monitor your mouth. Write down what you eat and walk away the weight before you do anything every morning. This is a great time for you but don't go from a size 2 to a 16 before Jupiter leaves Taurus early in 2012.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)--Early degrees of Virgo ( August 23 - September 3) will lavish in the fortuitous back blow from Jupiter in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. But with your ruling planet Mercury in retrograde the month of August, you might want to needlepoint or rewrite your script. I always recommend that you picky and analytical types take a short break from the tedium of life and just chill. It would be a great time to take a vacation and let the hillbillies twist and shout and you keep a low profile.
CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19)--Cardinal signs, Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra, are said to rule the world after having learned about 'servant leadership.' Since you are the Architect of Structure and form, you may be reeling from the Cardinal Cross that seems to linger and agitate without end. No transformation happens without challenges and no better, stronger and more enduring bones of reconstruction emerge without first tearing down and letting go of what no longer works for the greater good. Whether you like it or not you have chosen when to be born and no sign is more indomitable than you Goats.
AIR SIGNS
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)--The curtain has just risen on your brand new production and you have been getting curtain calls to guarantee that no one can replace you in this production. Tend to details, your weak suit, and don't talk out of both sides of your mouth so that both sides can hear that you don't have a real conviction in your repertoire. Stay the course. Learn more every day how to better do what you are being paid royally to do. No critics need rankle your serenity because no one does a better job of self-assessment than does a Gemini.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 23)--Since you are in the crosshairs of that armed and dangerous Cardinal T-square for the next few weeks, it would not be a good time to come to blows with your spouse over assets in a divorce or sue a business partner for malfeasance. It is time to take a depth charge within yourself to see if narcissism has you by the throat or if you have been vibing 'my way, or the highway' to all those around you. Libra is about diplomacy and tact and the stars are simply conducting a cosmic MRI to see if "you have been weighed in the scales and found wanting."
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17)--With the New Moon in Leo on July 30 opposing you Water Bearers it would behoove you to see who you are and where you stand in your carefully-laid plans for your life because an opposition new moon forces you to look at your drawing board to see where you need to rethink and make changes. Since we have been living in the Age of Aquarius since the 5th Dimension sang that song, keep in step to what the stars are telling you to do. You thinkers 'outside the box' have been assigned the task of building a better mousetrap.
WATER SIGNS
CANCER (June 21 – July 21)--Stay away from ledges and put away the knives because your mood swings might become unbearable during this Cardinal Cross. You know how the country feels because all of us are under the chart promises of Cancer, along with the moody blues that attacks the Crab from time to time. Look at your inner tapestry to see what is a keeper and what has to go. You may want to fix up the homestead to sell or redo to make it more pleasant through good times and bad. When this supra fixity passes in the Fall you will be better and stronger than ever. Until then, make plans and then see where God makes changes for the better.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 21)--The last time I looked you Scorpios were still hiding in the bunker dodging the slings and arrows of outrageous fortunes. Let me give you the formula: always keep a low profile in May and August because the fixity of these two signs are blockades to all your hopes, wishes and dreams. Be patient. In one month you will be ready to roll and dressed for the success that awaits you.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)-- Having had a few whiffs of Neptune being in Pisces for a few months, be careful that you don't slide back into self-delusion and start acting like you're still Joan d'Arc or Alexander the Great because the here and now calls for extraordinary souls who can walk among all people. Pisces will herald in a New/Old Age when Neptune approaches the 15th degree of the sign. Until the archangels call your names, blend into the woodwork and check out the size of your ego. Humility is the new password into heaven on earth.
