Greetings Friends!Enjoy the Virgo Newsletter for 2011!Signs of the Times--As I write this column the stock market has plunged 2,000 points in two weeks and the bottom looks nowhere in sight. What this is telling all of us is that when Pluto went into Capricorn in January 2008 the massive reconstruction, including our financial poor health-- would not be an easy fix. Someone asked me if I thought the good old days of runaway spending were over--that we have entered a new consciousness regarding how we personally and collectively spend money-- and I answered a resounding "Yes!!" More than how do we recover in the financial markets the poser is how do we live within our means and begin to spend money on what matters, education, our homes and the necessities rather than what we think we have to have. Overspending is another one of those addictions whose consequences are being played out all over the world. Unfortunately, what goes down climbs back up and we don't learn our lessons. In the Virgo cycle we are entering get out your pen and paper and make two and two add up to four--and no more. Balance the budget. Sleep better at night because you are no longer getting deeper in debt. Too many of us have looked to lending institutions (even pawn shops) to keep our rapacious appetites fed and screaming for more. Late August and September is a good time to turn your red sea of indebtedness into the black sea of stable cash. Thank God that Mercury goes direct on Black Friday, August 26th. You will look back on the August 2 - 25 (retrograde period) as topsy turvy time and mashugana as all get out. There will be a New Moon at 05 degrees of Virgo on August 28, which means a new beginning in career, economic recovery and solid relationships for Virgo, and great side effects for Taurus and Capricorn, as well as Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. There will be a Harvest Full Moon on September 12 at 19 degrees of Pisces, which will have the greatest impact on Pisces, as well as Cancer and Scorpio--in addition, Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus will be under this lunar jolt. New moons are always about the ending of one phase and the beginning of a new one. Pluto at 05 degrees will be back in full force on September 16th when it goes direct in motion. Retrogrades lessen the effect of cosmic energies when a planet is retrograde and the momentum of a planet going direct intensifies and has more powerful effects on those born under that sign.

ARIES (March 20–April 19)--I suggest you read Capricorn, Cancer, Libra astro-trends this month in order to find out how to assimilate all that these planetary movements are suggesting you do. What you can expect for a few more years is a lot of closing down one project and launching another. Stay away from the stock market and be cautious when investing in precious metals. Your finest hour will come when you learn to surround yourself with a brilliant supporting cast and step back after you sell the idea. You are still too impatient and too closed to what others have to say. Learn to listen and listen to learn. LEO (July 22–August 22)--I hope you leonine dare devils didn't roll the dice and lose a bundle of money you couldn't afford to burn in the stock market in the last few weeks. This lunar cycle is not your time of year either, so go out to the ball park or catch a movie--make us all laugh because you need to divert your attention from all the hullabaloo that's been clouding your thinking. What happened was Mercury retrograde skewered a lot of judgments for a lot of people, especially Leos. Stay out of the money game and let your losses come back in time. No more money matters for awhile! SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 20)--Your ruling planet, Jupiter goes retrograde on August 30 until Christmas Day. Never mind, Jupiter has moved into Taurus--not such a good combination for you free-wheeling Archers--so you'd better start saving more than a few coins to make it through until you get a more favorable back blow from Gemini in 2012. If this were my handwriting on the wall I would check my bank balance and see if I can continue to pluck and cluck all over town or if it is time to settle down and stay put. |

TAURUS (April 20–May 20)--Okay, Bulls, get ready to stampede and stock up with whatever floats your boat because you have Jupiter in Taurus and lunations this month that shine favorably on you. The nice thing about your bag of tricks is that you can act so nonchalant under the craziest of circumstances--even when the sky is falling. There is nothing falling this month except perhaps it'll be raining zillions of dollars into your coffers. I always have to remind Taurus to tithe and meet needs where you can. I know, I know, but the world judges you by your actions, not by your well-meaning intentions. VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)--You can put on your Sunday best and strut because this is your turn and time of the year to show your stuff. The New Moon will let you take a giant step forward in displaying your latest painting or getting credit for a bright idea at work. You always need to caution yourself--set limits--as how far and fast you will go in gloating and lording it over anyone else. It rains on the just and the unjust, and some signs like Scorpio and Taurus keep score and get even with smart alecks. CAPRICORN (December 21–January 19)--It looks like you've been caught in the crosshairs of that Cardinal Cross for awhile longer. Lucky loser though you be, that Uranus in Aries opposing you could be an unsuspecting gift from the Gods because you need something to shake the lethargy of Saturn sitting atop your head like the Foo Bird. Actually Saturn can teach you more than all the hot lights of Heaven. Stick to what you know and refine your message. When you get it exactly like you want it, Saturn will have moved on and you will be better for having lodged him in your life. |

GEMINI (May 21–June 20)--This is an 'in between acts' phase of the year for you. Don't fold and don't fan your hand just yet. You twins have a couple of faces to show the world so show 'em both because you are trying to do a lot of things to impress and get the approval of too many tight asses. If you can bide your time this solar cycle you will land on your feet and get lots of approval late September and into October. Never, ever forget that your charm can take you where aces up your sleeve can only get you into all kinds of trouble. LIBRA (September 23–October 22)--This month may be a tad better for you since the excruciatingly mean Cardinal Cross: Saturn in Libra oppose Uranus in Aries and both squared by Uranus in Aries and Mars in Cancer will be ebbing by the middle of September. Continue to clean out closet and tidy up any dangling alliances of the heart and make a clean start. You are going to find comfort and clarity waiting for you at the end of the line when you finish your clean-up detail. Since you rule fair and balanced, try to find those two on your own accord. AQUARIUS (January 20–February 17)--If you haven't noticed, Neptune has crawled back into your Sun Sign--which means that you either have visions of sugar plums in your noggin, or you're composing rock and roll melodies or you have designs for the latest stratospheric widget that will make you a mint and help Mankind as well. However, Neptune can also cause drunks to fall down and get carted off to jail or delusional types to think they are on mission to save the world. Wait 30 days and all these phantoms of the mind will clear like clockwork. |

CANCER (June 21–July 21)--The Cardinal Cross may slow you down this month but the lunations will put more air in your tires and wind in your sails. Pick and choose your best days to shine rather than appear to be out of your depth on negative days. Put your best foot forward on the following days, August 24, 25; August 28, 29; September 1, 2; September 10, 11; September 15, 26; September 20, 21. Other days, can a few peaches or try a new recipe. If there is one place you shine it is in your own kitchen. SCORPIO (October 23–November 21)--You keep inching up to the starting line to see where the universe is going to take you and then you drop back to take care of somebody else's needs that take precedent over yours. This may be the best cycle for you to pick up pace and get farther down the road to where life is trying to take you. Never known to back down from anyone or anything, clear your calendar for "full speed ahead" after September 5. The world is waiting for what only you can do to make this a better place. PISCES (February 18–March 19)--The lunations this month have some mixed messages for you. With the New Moon in Virgo on August 28th you might want to check your bank balance and make sure you don't owe anyone an amends because oppositional lunations can bring you grief and regrets. The Full Moon in Pisces on September 12 can snap you out of your muse and get you on track to do something worthwhile and sensible. Actually, since Uranus shimmied into Aries, your foundation has been a lot more solid upon which to open Act 1, Scene 1. |
