Although we have seen many harsh and dangerous times in the world for more than five years, the worm is about to turn. The overall forecast for 2012 is far more positive, perhaps, even rosier. It is never a time to be reckless with finances or careless with life choices. However, for those of you who have tightened your financial belt and conquered compulsive and addictive behavior, you will flourish in the Chinese year of the Dragon. Pay attention to this column for the best times for your sign each month. As the new year dawned there were no retrograde planets. However, Mars goes retrograde at 23 degrees of Virgo until April 14. This will affect Virgos majorly and other mutable signs, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius, to some degree. Mars can be abrasive and fiery in nature. There could be stand-offs between two or more countries that threatens to spill over into all-out war. No one needs any more wars, so pray without ceasing, for peace. There will be a New Moon at 02 degrees of Aquarius on January 23 which will give a leg up to you Water Bearers. Other Air Signs, Gemini and Libra will benefit as well. New moons portend new beginnings. There will be a Full Moon at 18 degrees of Leo on February 7 which is a caution to Leos and Aquarians. Take inventory and see what may have run its course in your life. Since Leo rules speculation and gambling among other attributes, make sure you have not bet the farm on a half-naked scheme. If it is a relationship, shoe time has come to end, do so with love and respect.

ARIES (March 20 – April 19)--Since you will have the bombastic and idiosyncratic planet Uranus in your neighborhood for a few more years, bring us something that will break through the universal nonsense that has been around since the Dark Ages. Keep your tuning fork pointed in the direction of sound and grounded notions for inspiring Mankind to cooperate and share the wealth. For once, get out of self and into all of us. LEO (July 22 – August 22)--Just when you thought you were in for a dry spell, the knock at the door will be an opportunity that could change your life. For those of you who broke up before the holidays that just passed, be of good cheer. Someone made a date with destiny he or she forgot about. This year will be the end of sorrow and the beginning of a life partner that will still be around for many moons. Don't forget to leave room for something borrowed and another thing red, white and blue. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20)--If you've got your bags packed, you had better delay your exodus because as usual you are off your target time table. The new vistas can wait and the excitement can continue to build. You are waiting on a reply to a letter or a phone call. Nothing can happen until you know what and when and how. Your problem is oftentimes jumping the gun. Too many false starts. |

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)--Your ruling planet Venus will be in Pisces for most of the Aquarian solar cycle so invest in human kindness for a change. All of us had best see what we can do for someone else or we will have painted ourselves into a lonesome corner. Overall the aspects are clear sailing for you. Go inside and check with your authentic self to see what to do next. You are always extremely cautious, but this month stretch your cosmic DNA to give when you want to keep for yourself. VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)--We have some good news and some words of caution. The upside is that you will be busier than three people in a race to the gold. The caution flag is to let you know that you will have too many edits and a lot of restarts to everything you set out to do. The culprit is Mars in your sign until mid-April. When you put Mars and Virgo together you have immovable objects pulling in opposite directions. You'll learn patience and will end up getting a lot done through perseverance. CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19)--Ignore the weather and don't ask anyone for permission to put the finishing touches on your long-awaited project. Capricorns walk a slower pace and do things with a different calendar and clock than the rest of the world. A warning sign could be to stop letting your heart get in the way of logic and reason. If he or she is making too many demands let them stay behind. You are closer to success than ever before. |

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)--Since you have been bombarded with eclipses for the last month or so, it is time to straighten the furniture and become grounded and less antsy. You are going to realize a new freedom this solar cycle: things were not as bad as you thought and no one was out to get you but the stinking thinker between your ears. Dance and sing. Make everybody at home happier, including you. Throw care to the wind and look on the bright side for a change. LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)--Saturn will go retrograde at the 29th degree on February 8th. I know it's hard to remember that Saturn is dignified in Libra because it also can frustrate and delay like no other planet. What is happening is that you are going to make better choices and longer commitments in the next few months. 'Grow or go' Saturn will not go into Scorpio until October 6. Thank God it's there so you will be ready for it to go away when it does. AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17)--What better wish could come true than you make the most of the New Moon in your sign. Since you were created to build the better mousetrap pick up the hammer and nails and begin. If anyone lives outside the box it's you. My prediction for you is that when this year is over you will be known for something that benefits everybody. If it's a film you're writing, change your music to match the movie. |

CANCER (June 21 – July 21)--In some parts of the world this is the bleak and dreary time of year. But with climate change you may feel a heat wave in New York and chilly climes in Florida. But if you are checking in with your inner voice, a Cancer can always find space at the table for a drop-in and a kind word for the disheartened. If you have been trying to sell the homestead, get ready to move. Need to stay put, redecorate your life. SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)--You may need to fine-tune your project or redefine your objectives this solar cycle because you will be questioned about where you think you are going. And you will be cross-examined about what you are going to do when you get there. Stay the course. Do what you do best: what no one but you can do. In the end no one will doubt you when you succeed off the charts. PISCES (February 18 – March 19)--Neptune your ruling planet goes into Pisces on February for umpteen years. What this means is that you will hit the note that starts the global peace movement or you will have found one more delusional sidebar to keep you hearing what others find discordant. My hunch is that it is your turn and your time so don't waste it with retreads or another pipedream. Stay attuned to an octave that can resonates with the down-to-earth plane. |
