The Signs of the Time — Now that we are in the Libra zone of the Zodiac, start telling the truth or shut up. Latch your trap to a better point of view. Mercury entered Libra from August 30th to November 5th. Mercury started its pre-retrograde shadow on September 6th, goes full retrograde from September 27th to October 18th in the Sign of Libra.

Jupiter in Aquarius, Saturn in Aquarius, Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces, and Pluto in Capricorn as well as Mercury in Libra will all be retrograde throughout this Libra Sun Cycle. All of this indicates that Planet Earth will be somewhat at a standstill and unable to move in a positive and understandable manner.

Pluto will go direct in Capricorn on October 6. Saturn will go direct on October 11 in Aquarius. Jupiter will go direct in Aquarius on October 18.

The best investment that I have ever made…

“I met Albert in late 1991 when my life was a mess and I did not know what to do. I went for an astrology reading reluctantly and at the end of it agreed to do the Sedona Intensive. I was in Sedona January 5-12 of 1992 and did my daily exercises and then continued with the program for 3 months upon returning home. By following Albert’s directions, even when some of it made no logical sense, my life was changed dramatically for the better over the next year. He put me on a path that I never could have imagined and I will be forever grateful for that. This eventually led to my current profession, beginning in 2005, as a life coach assisting clients in making big changes in their lives. The time and money spent with Albert all those years ago is the best investment that I have ever made and gave me insights and tools that I still use today.”

Monthly Insights for the Signs

Fire Signs

ARIES (March 19 – April 18)–You might want to button your lip and lockdown posting and hosting stars and local yokels this month because everything seems to be opposing or squaring Aries. With Mercury retrograde in opposition to you, the unsuspecting things that could oppose you are beyond words. It is a perfect time to rehab the yard or give pounds of old unworn clothes to the Good Will and be careful what you say to friends and strangers alike. Mum’s the word.

LEO (July 23 – August 22)–Other than dodging the mishaps of Mercury retrograde most of the month you lions and lionesses have the easiest time with whatever is on your plate. Not trying to push the river with the Pandemic still lurking by traveling to foreign ports may need to be reconsidered. Someone said to me recently that there are a lot of good books hot off the press. Sit under an umbrella or lay in a hammock and dive into a good 400 pages of a hot new read.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20)–Venus will stroll into Sag on October 8 so get ready to have a little more fun, which is your middle name and pleasure. You are still getting a lot of help from Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius. As we say on these pages a lot the last two years of the Pandemic, all signs are here to live and learn and to share and care with all of those around us. Get out your helping hand and make a difference in someone else’s life.

Earth Signs

TAURUS (April 19 – May 20)–Uranus is still retrograde in Taurus but that doesn’t mean you can twist and shout as if this aspect gives you license to ignore the consequences of poor judgment. Also, Venus in Scorpio will also rattle your chain until October 7 when it goes into Sagittarius. Sag is still no close pal in the zodiacal hierarchy to any of you Taurus. A trickle of compatibility is Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. Count your blessings, meager that they be this month.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)–With your ruling planet Virgo in retrograde this month you best take a seat and not tempt fate. Virgos love law and order and Mercury retrograde is anything but. This is a good 3 weeks to meditate and start keeping a journal again. Whatever you do, stay out of political discussions that put you on the outs with family or close friends. Venus is in Scorpio for ten days at the start of the Libra cycle, so your bottom line could see some upticks.

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19)–The one sign that can be counted on to do whatever comes his or her way to make life better for us all is Capricorn. With Pluto still in Capricorn for years longer keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll keep getting what you are getting: a better life from all the reconstruction you’ve been doing for a long time. And don’t forget to rest your weary bones from time to time.

Air Signs

GEMINI (May 21 – June 21)–You need to wrap your mind around Mercury being retrograde in Libra beginning September 25. A lot of people have been acting as if the sky is falling under Mercury retrograde. It is matters begun under the three-week time frame of the Mercury retrograde that you have to exert caution. Anything begun right before the retrograde may experience a bit of a delay. Remember you Geminis are Twins. Let the steadier side of you take the helm at this time.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)–Mercury retrograde in Libra until October 18 is a sign for you Venus-loving sorts to pull to the side of the road in order to stay out of harm’s way. Having your ruler Venus in Libra for a few weeks will soften the blow of the Mercury retrograde. All signs need to accept the fact that life is about changes and most of all when the planets call for a new look and a new way to live.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17)–With Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius for a while longer, keep your studious and wise head at the tasks at hand. Jupiter is giving you all the resources you need to make and play aligned with what you have been given to do. No sign in the Zodiac potentially makes the impact on the world as you do. Saturn is the reminder that you’ve only just started to see the masterpiece. Picture and see it come to fruition in all our lives.

Water Signs

CANCER (June 22 – July 22)–Make a critical note of the Mercury retrograde beginning September 27 at 25 degrees of Libra. Since you are Moon-ruled let’s give you the best days of this 31-day Solar cycle, which are September 29, 30; October 9, 10; October 17, 18; 21, 22, 23. The born qualities for Cancers are to always be able to bounce back no matter what are the circumstances. Family is everything to you Moon dudes and duchesses.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)–Venus is in Scorpio until October 8. You also have a nice touch from Neptune in Pisces and your ruler Pluto in Capricorn for a longer run to aid and abet you magical and mysterious Scorpios. Your continuing challenge is to be a part of the ever-changing line of I-Ching. There could be a bit of a bump when Venus leaves Scorpio on October 8.

PISCES (February 18 – March 18)–If you have continued to clean up your act and that means not drink and drive…and committed yourself to the life’s work that only has been assigned to Pisces, you will feel heart connected. Venus in Scorpio is going to bring you massive rewards for the choices you make and the capacity to listen to the still small voice that resonates from your soul center. Do not wait for praise but be grateful of the life your actions have taken you to the place you are in now.

How My Journey Began

“I have been receiving the Sedona Intensive Newsletter for many years. I was inspired by the astrological information. I never really delve into what programs were offered. I thought it was a spa in the painted desert where you could spend a week to relax and rejuvenate. I remember when I first subscribed to the newsletter, I had mentioned it to my husband and said maybe when we have some time, we could look into going there for a vacation. Little did I know what was in store for me on that Tuesday morning in December 2020 when I decided to dial the phone number listed on the newsletter to find out what the program was about and whether it would benefit me.

“Quite honestly, I was surprised when Mr. Albert Gaulden answered the phone! Surely this man has a receptionist, I thought to myself. But it was him. I, nervous – I almost hung up. Here I was talking to the man of Sedona! I was a bit intimidated at first, but after our first session, he truly put me at ease. I told him my recent story about the loss of my husband and the way I had soothed the pain of grief through alcohol. As we talked, I knew I needed to be part of this program. Albert is a straight forward, no bullshit kind of man. You either like what he has to say or you don’t. And if you don’t, he’ll tell you to go pound sand! But in a not so nice way. Albert is so passionate about the work he does and takes a true interest in each client. The homework is brutal but I have learned so much about myself and why I have experienced everything I’ve been through in my life and how it brought me to where I am today.

“One must have an open mind and be willing to hear the tough talk. There was tough talk. There was difficult self-reflection. But this program is not for sissies. You’re either going to commit – or you’re not. And if you don’t commit – this is not the program for you. It is an emotional experience with a great deal of self-reflection. This program didn’t just guide me through understanding my alcohol addiction, but it has been more beneficial in helping me deal with the overwhelming grief I have experienced over the last 2 years after the death of my husband. I am whole again.”

Person of the Year: Gail Galvani Bell

I have known Gail for more than 20 years. She and her close friend Priscilla came to Sedona to go through the Sedona Intensive eons ago. It was love at first sight for me. Gail is one of the most joyful people I have ever met She has two children who are super stars as well as married to a brilliant husband. Gail has acted on Broadway, been in an international commercial, and was a member of the board of the renowned New York Theatre Workshop, and has been a MELT practitioner and VOICE and SPEECH coach for a number of years.

For more information contact Gail at gailgalvanibell@gmail.com.

The MELT Method is a breakthrough self-treatment technique that restores the fluid state and the supportiveness of the body’s connective tissue to combat chronic pain, improve performance and decrease the accumulated stress caused by everyday living. People find their sleep and digestion also improves. The method uses props…three small balls on your hands and feet and a soft roller for your body.

Ode to Frances B. from New York City

I decided to write a paean to my new best friend Frances because of how deeply we click-connected from “hello.” Frances and I were born a day apart; she, on March 5, and me on March 6. Frances is 95 years younger than springtime and has been sober for more than 63 years. Although she claims to have difficulty seeing she can hear a pin drop across the room.

Ms. Frances is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Carnegie Hall in New York City. For years she was a fundraiser for Non-Profit Organizations like an Adoption Agency, Lennox Hospital, the U.S.O., and the Settlement House among many others. Frances was married 2 ½ times; the ½ man is an amazing backstory made for the movies.

What tingles and touches me is her no-nonsense straight-laced approach to life and how to motor through the harshest difficulties. I once attended a 12-Step Meeting in her apartment with a small group of friends that was electrifying. From my perch in life, it is her silent essence, in and out of sobriety, that helps and heals those who need her strength and wise counsel. Frances B. would be Rhapsody in Blue if she were George Gershwin or A Midsummer Night’s Dream if William Shakespeare.  We talk by telephone every Sunday and I must say it is the high point of my week. So, dear heart, I can’t imagine never having met you because you are this man’s best friend.

Moments and Windstorms: Take Back Your Power

This ground-breaking book offers an in-depth journey through the author’s eye-opening addiction to alcohol and how he eventually got sober. Gaulden has written a number of books as well as being Founding Director of the Sedona Intensive, one of the country’s most highly regarded alternative personal growth programs.

The author shares all the ways God was leading and guiding him even when he was still drinking. “Most of us look at false paradigms to measure success in our lives. So much of where I went and the jobs I took helped me remember what I was to do as my life’s work.”

Gaulden’s book is divided into five parts. Each section explores different parts of his journey, incorporating all the places he’s been, the studies he’s made and the people he’s met. His point of view is that each client who sought his help made him a better person. At the end of the book, he has some daunting but hopeful words about the conditions of the planet Earth and what we need to do to survive as a race.

What Our Clients Are Saying About The Sedona Intensive

“The Sedona Intensive was a life changing experience for me. I had been searching for happiness and serenity for over 20 years and as a result of the Intensive I found that I was looking in all the wrong places. I not only experienced what happiness and serenity truly are but now understand the process needed to maintain and enhance that state of being. It doesn’t mean that I don’t experience the ups and downs of life but what it does mean is that those downs do not even come close to impacting me the way they used to. There is now a presence of mind that provides clarity and purpose that did not exist for me prior to the Intensive.

It is impossible to put a value on such a quality of life enhancing experience that the Sedona Intensive provides the person willing to do the work.It is by far the most significant thing I have done in my 62 years.

I came across a quote last week that summed up what I experienced and learned while attending the Sedona Intensive – ‘Once you stop clinging and let things be, you’ll be free’ -Bodhidharma (440ce – 528 ce), the Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma: A Bilingual Edition.”
