Enjoy the Virgo Newsletter for 2021!

The Signs of the Time –Well, Virgo starts the month off with Mercury and Mars as well as the Sun in Virgo. For most of us that is a tad too much of law and order.

Uranus just went direct in Taurus. Retrogrades act more like a lessening of the energy of the Planet and the sign when retrograde. Direct motion means that all systems are in force. Usually, mild-mannered Taurus will start to be irritating, although its usual nature is to be calm, cool, and collected. We will see ups and downs in the Stock Market—so hold on to what you’ve got this Solar Cycle.

Politics will continue to grab all the headlines. We are in such a crazy place with the right side of the aisle determined to take back the House and the Senate—but they will fail. Blackhole news about the former President will have Republicans scrambling to find a replacement. In late September, there could be a lot of revelations about Trump and his cronies that will lead to multiple arrests.

September there will be a New Moon in Virgo. New Moons always indicate new beginnings and upstarts of ideas and projects that are calm, cool, and make sense to both Democrats and Republicans. Death due to massive numbers of people not vaccinated will continue to rise.

People have been asking for attributes of their birth sign, so I decided to do just that this month in the personal signs below.

The best investment that I have ever made…

“I met Albert in late 1991 when my life was a mess and I did not know what to do. I went for an astrology reading reluctantly and at the end of it agreed to do the Sedona Intensive. I was in Sedona January 5-12 of 1992 and did my daily exercises and then continued with the program for 3 months upon returning home. By following Albert’s directions, even when some of it made no logical sense, my life was changed dramatically for the better over the next year. He put me on a path that I never could have imagined and I will be forever grateful for that. This eventually led to my current profession, beginning in 2005, as a life coach assisting clients in making big changes in their lives. The time and money spent with Albert all those years ago is the best investment that I have ever made and gave me insights and tools that I still use today.”

Monthly Insights for the Signs

Fire Signs

ARIES (March 19 – April 18)–You might feel torn at times if you are striving hard and finding strength by following your own direction. If you keep your eye on the prize, you will not leave anyone behind. In fact, you are carving a lesser-known path to lead the way for an entire community. This year, certain lunar eclipses vacillate between Sagittarius and Gemini, activating your personal zones of higher learning and spiritual development, and requiring you to find the words for what you are feeling.

LEO (July 23 – August 22)–Lions are well known for their loud roar. But learning to quiet down and listen is essential for Leo signs to reach their peak power—especially when they’re hearing a voice that doesn’t match their confidence and certainty. And while this sign thrives on their split-second decision-making and reaction skills, they might sometimes benefit from taking a few seconds, minutes, or even days before making their opinion known on a subject. Researching all sides, doing due diligence, and learning from other people’s experiences are all essential for a Leo to be as strong a leader as possible.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20)–Independent and strong-willed, Sagittarius personalities are all about going off the beaten path. The sign of Sagittarius isn’t afraid to step away from the pack and is a natural-born leader who goes after what he or she wants, regardless of what other people think. Sagittarius is a born adventurer and loves solo travel and exploration. Sagittarians also loves exploring the inner workings of their minds, and love stretching their horizons through a good book or movie. Most Sagittarians can sometimes be far too blunt and put their own needs above others. They don’t need to veer from your values, but sometimes, a white lie saves all.

Earth Signs

TAURUS (April 19 – May 20)–Smart, ambitious, and trustworthy, Taurus is the anchor of the Zodiac. Amazing friends, colleagues, and partners, Taurus values honesty above all else and are proud that their personal relationships tend to be drama-free. Bulls get the reputation of being stubborn, but they’re not always stuck in their ways. This searching sign is willing to see another point of view, but they won’t flip-flop on an opinion just to make someone else happy. They will shift their thinking only if they truly have a change of heart.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)–This is a major career year for your sign, Virgo. Your analytical self will enjoy the hard work and dedication it takes to make your dreams become a reality, but you also get a little boost of love from the cosmic cycles as well. You’ve done a lot of good deeds for so many people that it’s kind of your time to let some good be returned to you as well. The only problem is sitting still and letting you have some fun along the way!

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19)–Natural rule-followers, Capricorns thrive on order and love strict rules, hierarchies, and set ways to do things. Can a Capricorn sign think outside the box? Yes, they can, but they prefer when they have strict boundaries to constrain against—free reign can make them feel paralyzed by choice. Capricorns are great at climbing the corporate ladder and especially adept at making (and investing) money. Capricorns love family and put a lot of stock in traditions. A Capricorn might be stressed out trying to do everything perfectly.

Air Signs

GEMINI (May 21 – June 21)–Gemini is easily the life of the party without trying. The Twins also have a deep emotional side that needs care and feeding. Geminis like time by themselves to read, and create, daydream, and come up with other ways of sharing their gifts with the world. When a Gemini can truly tap in and share their gifts, they’re an unstoppable force of energy that can motivate, inspire, and enchant the rest of the Zodiac. This is your time to shine—again.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)–Intelligent, kind, and always willing to put others before themselves, Libras value harmony in all forms. Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, Libra adores a life that looks good. As the master of compromise and diplomacy, Libra is adept at seeing all points of view and excels at crafting compromises and effecting mediation between others. This sign has a rich inner life yet loves other people, and they’re always happiest with a large group of friends, family, and coworkers on whom they can count.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 17)–Independent and enigmatical, Aquarians are unique. There is no one quite like an Aquarius, and because each is so incredibly individual, it can be tough to describe them as a group. Aquarians don’t like labels, and may shy away from any adjective—even the good ones you might bestow upon them. Aquarians believe in the nature of change and evolution, and even though they’re a fixed sign, they may not necessarily believe they are the “same” people they were when they were born.

Water Signs

CANCER (June 22 – July 22)–Cancer loves creating and needs some type of creative outlet, whether it’s painting, writing, or even just reading. Cancer also loves connecting to a higher power and may find comfort in religion or spiritual practices. And even though Crabs can be intense, they also have a funny side with a wry sense of humor, and they’re adept at observing and mimicking people around them. Finally, Cancer is incredibly loyal, sometimes to a fault. Cancers will go to the ends of the earth and even against their own beliefs to help someone they love.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)–Passionate, independent, and unafraid to blaze their own trail no matter what others think, Scorpio signs make a statement wherever they go. They love debates, aren’t afraid of controversy, and won’t back down from anyone or anything. They also hate people who aren’t genuine and are all about being authentic—even if authentic isn’t pretty. This leads to Scorpio’s central conflict: Their feelings are what drives them and strengthens them, but their mutability can scare them and make them feel vulnerable and out of control. Because of this conflict, Scorpios, like their namesake, the scorpion, put up an outer shell and may seem prickly.

PISCES (February 18 – March 18)–Those with the Pisces sign may seem quiet but they have a strong sense of right and wrong. Their moral compass, along with their gut, guides them well. When a Pisces speaks up, people listen. Pisces tend to take in everything around them, and they are great people to ask for advice on pretty much anything. While Pisces has strong convictions about the best way for them to live, they have a “live and let live” approach when it comes to others, and are accepting and nonjudgmental of all.

How My Journey Began

“I have been receiving the Sedona Intensive Newsletter for many years. I was inspired by the astrological information. I never really delve into what programs were offered. I thought it was a spa in the painted desert where you could spend a week to relax and rejuvenate. I remember when I first subscribed to the newsletter, I had mentioned it to my husband and said maybe when we have some time, we could look into going there for a vacation. Little did I know what was in store for me on that Tuesday morning in December 2020 when I decided to dial the phone number listed on the newsletter to find out what the program was about and whether it would benefit me.

“Quite honestly, I was surprised when Mr. Albert Gaulden answered the phone! Surely this man has a receptionist, I thought to myself. But it was him. I, nervous – I almost hung up. Here I was talking to the man of Sedona! I was a bit intimidated at first, but after our first session, he truly put me at ease. I told him my recent story about the loss of my husband and the way I had soothed the pain of grief through alcohol. As we talked, I knew I needed to be part of this program. Albert is a straight forward, no bullshit kind of man. You either like what he has to say or you don’t. And if you don’t, he’ll tell you to go pound sand! But in a not so nice way. Albert is so passionate about the work he does and takes a true interest in each client. The homework is brutal but I have learned so much about myself and why I have experienced everything I’ve been through in my life and how it brought me to where I am today.

“One must have an open mind and be willing to hear the tough talk. There was tough talk. There was difficult self-reflection. But this program is not for sissies. You’re either going to commit – or you’re not. And if you don’t commit – this is not the program for you. It is an emotional experience with a great deal of self-reflection. This program didn’t just guide me through understanding my alcohol addiction, but it has been more beneficial in helping me deal with the overwhelming grief I have experienced over the last 2 years after the death of my husband. I am whole again.”

Person of the Year: Gail Galvani Bell

I have known Gail for more than 20 years. She and her close friend Priscilla came to Sedona to go through the Sedona Intensive eons ago. It was love at first sight for me. Gail is one of the most joyful people I have ever met She has two children who are super stars as well as married to a brilliant husband. Gail has acted on Broadway, been in an international commercial, and was a member of the board of the renowned New York Theatre Workshop, and has been a MELT practitioner and VOICE and SPEECH coach for a number of years.

The MELT Method is a breakthrough self-treatment technique that restores the fluid state and the supportiveness of the body’s connective tissue to combat chronic pain, improve performance and decrease the accumulated stress caused by everyday living. People find their sleep and digestion also improves. The method uses props…three small balls on your hands and feet and a soft roller for your body.

Ode to Frances B. from New York City

I decided to write a paean to my new best friend Frances because of how deeply we click-connected from “hello.” Frances and I were born a day apart; she, on March 5, and me on March 6. Frances is 95 years younger than springtime and has been sober for more than 63 years. Although she claims to have difficulty seeing she can hear a pin drop across the room.

Ms. Frances is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Carnegie Hall in New York City. For years she was a fundraiser for Non-Profit Organizations like an Adoption Agency, Lennox Hospital, the U.S.O., and the Settlement House among many others. Frances was married 2 ½ times; the ½ man is an amazing backstory made for the movies.

What tingles and touches me is her no-nonsense straight-laced approach to life and how to motor through the harshest difficulties. I once attended a 12-Step Meeting in her apartment with a small group of friends that was electrifying. From my perch in life, it is her silent essence, in and out of sobriety, that helps and heals those who need her strength and wise counsel. Frances B. would be Rhapsody in Blue if she were George Gershwin or A Midsummer Night’s Dream if William Shakespeare.  We talk by telephone every Sunday and I must say it is the high point of my week. So, dear heart, I can’t imagine never having met you because you are this man’s best friend.

Moments and Windstorms: Take Back Your Power

This ground-breaking book offers an in-depth journey through the author’s eye-opening addiction to alcohol and how he eventually got sober. Gaulden has written a number of books as well as being Founding Director of the Sedona Intensive, one of the country’s most highly regarded alternative personal growth programs.

The author shares all the ways God was leading and guiding him even when he was still drinking. “Most of us look at false paradigms to measure success in our lives. So much of where I went and the jobs I took helped me remember what I was to do as my life’s work.”

Gaulden’s book is divided into five parts. Each section explores different parts of his journey, incorporating all the places he’s been, the studies he’s made and the people he’s met. His point of view is that each client who sought his help made him a better person. At the end of the book, he has some daunting but hopeful words about the conditions of the planet Earth and what we need to do to survive as a race.

What Our Clients Are Saying About The Sedona Intensive

“The Sedona Intensive was a life changing experience for me. I had been searching for happiness and serenity for over 20 years and as a result of the Intensive I found that I was looking in all the wrong places. I not only experienced what happiness and serenity truly are but now understand the process needed to maintain and enhance that state of being. It doesn’t mean that I don’t experience the ups and downs of life but what it does mean is that those downs do not even come close to impacting me the way they used to. There is now a presence of mind that provides clarity and purpose that did not exist for me prior to the Intensive.

It is impossible to put a value on such a quality of life enhancing experience that the Sedona Intensive provides the person willing to do the work.It is by far the most significant thing I have done in my 62 years.

I came across a quote last week that summed up what I experienced and learned while attending the Sedona Intensive – ‘Once you stop clinging and let things be, you’ll be free’ -Bodhidharma (440ce – 528 ce), the Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma: A Bilingual Edition.”
